Wherever old cartons which have been flattened are piled up, the use of the new ProfiPack from OFFIS LIFE is rewarding. The compact cutting equipment converts this waste material quickly into cardboard mats which can be used in many ways as packaging pads. The user therefore has two advantages at the same time: No need to buy packaging material and reduction of disposal costs.

The handling of this quick-change artist is child's play: Used cardboard is simply pushed by hand into the feeding slot where it is pulled in by the cutting rollers and processed into a carton mat with an airy mesh structure. The corrugated cardboard is not only perforated but also formed by the special cutting shafts and, in the same process, also cut to the desired width. The result is versatile packaging material which allows sensitive products to be safely packed and protected from damage during transport – made for free!

The cutting rollers are driven by a generously dimensioned electric motor (4.0 kW) allowing a throughput speed of up to twelve metres of cardboard per minute. Cutting rollers and motor can process up to three layers of corrugated cardboard at the same time which significantly increases the productivity of the machine. The maximum width of the cardboard mats is 425 millimetres.
