How to order Martin Yale signature plates (saddles). If your continuous form checks have a stub BETWEEN each check, you will only need one signature plate. (It will fit on one side of the cylinder and print every 7 inches.)
If your continuous form checks have no stub between them, you will need to order a two plate set (One will fit on each side of the cylinder and print every 3 1/2 inches)
If you are signing cut sheet checks or documents on the model 912, you will need to order a two plate set, even if you are imprinting only one signature on the sheet.
Sign the authorized signature three times with red or black ink on a white sheet no less than 3 inches apart. (keep the size of the signature down to no more than 2 inches long.) There is an extra charge if your signature must be reduced in size to fit. Send the sheet containing the signatures and a sample check marked void (for positioning) with your order.
Allow 7 to 14 days for processing signature plates. They will be shipped separately after machine.
