The SCAN
COIN 1500 series of banknote counters are highly versatile and offer
a wide selection of functions for various applications. The many
standard features are normally only available on larger and more
expensive machines. Advanced technology and functional design ensure
high accuracy and user friendliness. |
| The speed is set at
1,500 notes per minute for maximum throughput. Nine different
speeds, ranging from 500 to 1,500 notes per minute, can easily be
selected on the front panel keyboard to allow for visual inspection
or adjustment to banknote material and quality.

Standard functions include continuous counting as well as
batching of any quantity between 1-999. Automatic restart after each
completed batch gives high throughput. |
| The SCAN COIN 1500 series are capable of detecting double
banknotes as well as chain fed banknotes to maintain the highest
accuracy. Both functions are fully automatic to attain the
operator's full confidence. In the Intelligent Processing mode the
SC 1500 automatically reads the characteristics of the banknotes and
adjusts accordingly for best performance. The SC 1500 provides size detection for the height of the notes
as standard and can be adjusted by the operator between 2-7 mm. A
smaller banknote or other document is immediately detected to avoid
miscounts. The advanced detection technology also reacts to half
notes.
Through a sophisticated ultra-violet light detection system in
the SC 1500 UV, the paper quality is examined against counterfeits.
The importance of this feature increases as the problem with
counterfeits continues to grow. The sensitivity of the UV-detection
can be adjusted in 3 steps by the operator, or switched off when not
required.
The SC 1500 can, as an option, be equipped with an external
customer display enabling the customer to follow the counting.
An interface is also provided as standard for connection to a PC,
the Cash Management System – CMS.
